Academic Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI)
SDSU AI Survey
Download an all-new version of the AI survey, first administered at San Diego State University in fall 2023, drawing participation from 7,811 students. This year, we included faculty and staff, drawing 12,166 responses. Access our dashboard to explore and visualize quantitative (Likert scale) data and use our chatbot to interrogate qualitative (open response) data from the survey.
Welcome to the Academic Applications of AI (AAAI), an ongoing effort of the IT Division and its campus partners to empower faculty and students to leverage AI in education and research creatively and responsibly.
SDSU’s Academic Applications of AI Micro-Credential prepares students, faculty, and staff to apply generative AI technology efficiently, effectively, and ethically to level up teaching, learning, and research across disciplines.
AI Academic Fellows are a vibrant community of faculty and students dedicated to researching AI in higher education. They engage with cutting-edge studies and thoughtfully consider AI's effects on teaching, learning, and research at SDSU.
Colleges must adapt to fast-changing AI, ensuring fair access. The Equitable AI Alliance (EAIA) is dedicated to advancing affordable and accessible artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education.
In adopting generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools, SDSU employees should follow important considerations related to information security, data and personal privacy, compliance, copyright and protecting proprietary information, and accuracy and academic integrity.
